Religious Education – Mission Statement
The Religious Education Program at St. Joseph the Worker Church exists to further the mission of Jesus Christ by teaching and proclaiming the Gospel according to the tenets and sacramental life of the Roman Catholic Church. Through our educational ministry, we promote, develop, and appreciate the sacredness of the whole person. We are called to provide a curriculum and learning environment which fosters spiritual growth, moral development, academic excellence, critical thinking and life-long learning virtues. Through the educational process we instill in our Catholic teachings the need to serve as:
1. People who evaluate our whole world in the light of the vision of Jesus Christ
2. Stewards of the earth and its gifts
3. Active, informed participants who collaborate in creating a world based on love and justice
We do this as a Eucharistic Community in partnership with our parents, the Church, and the civic community.
