Operation Southern Comfort
Operation Southern Comfort/Northern Comfort will be having their 5th annual Craw-fish/Taste of Louisiana Festival on
Saturday, May 5th, 11am – 7pm.
This year’s festival will be at Clinton Square in downtown Syracuse. In addition to fresh craw-fish and shrimp flown up from Louisiana there will be gumbo, jambalaya, beans and rice and other Southern treats as well as food for the kids. There will be an assortment of bands, craft vendors, and items for sale with a Louisiana flair. In addition, there will be a canned food drive for St Joseph/St. Lucy’s food banks and anyone who comes down to the Festival with a canned food or package will be given Mardi Gras beads. All monies raised at the Fest will go toward helping those still in need in New Orleans following Katrina and those in need in Central New York.
